Greetings, Richfield High School families -
I hope this letter finds your family doing well! It brings me great pleasure to join the Spartan family and serve as the new principal of Richfield High School. I have been humbled by the gracious welcome I have received thus far and I look forward to meeting and greeting each of you real soon.
Richfield High School’s beliefs in “Dreams, Relationships and Excellence” align closely with my desire to engineer a high school where all students are encouraged to dream big and realize their dreams. However, a dream without a plan is simply a dream. Therefore, during the 2015-16 school year, we will enact a plan to help all students dream and experience increased academic success. This year, Richfield High School’s top priorities include the following:
Creating an emotionally and physically safe environment for all learners;
Implementing the Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for Teaching and Richfield Public School’s Four Instructional Agreements to improve instruction;
Implementing an intervention model to accelerate achievement in math and literacy; and
Continuing the development of effective professional learning communities that increase student achievement.
This work – and more – is imperative for our students to continually learn, grow and excel which is the Richfield priority!
For our new ninth grade students, we will kick off the school year with our 9th Grade Orientation on Tuesday, September 1st. Our Open House for all families will be on Thursday, September 10th. We invite you to take advantage of this great opportunity to meet Richfield High School staff, tour the school and learn more about the Richfield High School experience.
In closing, each new school year signals a new beginning – a fresh start. It is my desire to make the 2015-16 school year one of tangible hopes, dreams and possibilities for a better and brighter future for our students. I appreciate and solicit your unwavering support and look forward to meeting you real soon!
